• The ACM/IPPC competitions (until 2010): entered the finals for 3 consecutive years (2007-2009); 4 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 7 third prizes were given to the students of Faculty of Information Technology at ACM/ICPC Asia- Vietnam site qualifying round
• The PROCON awards (2013): Continually achieved great prize, represented Vietnam to attend in Japan
• The Microsoft Imagine CUP awards for UET’s teams (2013, 2014)
• Received 2 second prizes and 1 third prize in the national contest of information security for students (2009- 2013)
Science & Technology
• Contributed about 25% of the number of Scopus-indexed paper about Environmental Science in Vietnam
• Published the initial results on the first study to analyze and build the genome of a Vietnamese. This has
put Vietnam in the group of only 20 countries in the world that have built their own human genomes.
• Responsible for establishing and organizing the VNU Journal of Computer Science and Communication Engineering.
• Founded an annual international conference on Knowledge System Engineering (KSE) since 2009.
• Key player in organizing National Olympiads in Informatics, ACM ICPC programming competitions.
• Host and manage the selection competition and training camp for Vietnam team participating in International Olympiad in Informatics.
